In order to qualify for the Vendee Globe Race 2016, Canadian Ocean Racing is fundraising to compete in two IMOCA races this Fall.
UPDATE: Canadian Ocean Racing has been able to raise enough money to participate in the Transat Jacques Vabre Race in October 2015.
We still need your help getting there! So far, we’ve crowdfunded our entry into our first round of IMOCA racing and we think our fans can take us to the BtoB, a Vendée Globe qualifying race, in Fall 2015. With your help, we can bring Canada back to the Vendee Globe!
Our Skipper Eric Holden, and his co-skipper Morgen Watson, aim to sail from France to Brazil in their first double-handed offshore race – the Transat Jacques Vabre on 25 October 2015. And we want you to be part of our team!
All donors to Canadian Ocean Racing have a chance to win a sail onboard O Canada and other awesome prizes such as limited-edition Helly Hansen gear. Join the Canadian Ocean Racing team by donating to Wind Athletes — all donations are tax-deductible and go directly to getting Canada to the Vendee Globe.
Help us reach our goal of $300,000 by the end of 2015. Donate today! Here’s our progress so far:
