Executive Crew

Ever want to cross an ocean? Wonder what it’s like to surf up to 20 knots on an open 60?

You can do all that and more by joining our executive crew this spring! We have some amazing opportunities for you to get onboard O CANADA and sail her back home!

Executive Crew passages:

  • Atlantic Crossing: NOW 25% off! leave Lisbon April 23, arrival in Newport around May 8.
  • Newport – New York Race: Training May 19-20, race 21-22 (Full)
  • New York – Halifax : May 29 departure – arrive June 1
  • Halifax – Quebec City: June 4 – 8
  • Kingston – Toronto : June 18-19

These passages are not for the faint hearted, O Canada is the definition of a stripped down ocean racing speed machine. You will be taking part in an authentic Ocean Racing experience, there is no fridge, freezer or head on board. This means freeze dried food and a bucket on the the stern. In return for the sacrifice of everyday amenities we promise you the experience and speeds of a lifetime!

We encourage people with sailing experience as this is NOT a learn to sail trip. We will also be collection sailing CV’s just so we have an idea of your background so we can make the trip as memorable as possible.

Please email us info@canadianoceanracing.com with subject “Executive Crew” if you are interested – limited spots available. Passages range from $1,500-$12,000CAD based on length of passage, supplies, food and experience. All funds go to helping support the team and their IMOCA 60 campaign, as a result a tax receipt can be issued for up to 50% of passage donation amount, for Canadians only.

“The trip from Newport to Le Havre was everything I had hoped it would be – a proper introduction to ocean racing and the chance to participate as a full crew member.
From trimming to helming, repairs to meal prep, we did it all.
Morgen and his team were great instructors and are now great friends.”
